Islamabad - In a suicide attack held at air base of Pakistan of here 1 army person and 7 terrorist members were killed. The attack was planned by terrorist groups just after two day after the independence day celebrations and retirement of the Pakistan Army chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani. Some of the terror members were in military uniform. The Pakistan news channels reported that the attackers were aiming the nuclear weapons vested at Air force base of Punjab province. There was eight members in the attacking group and 2 persons were commanding others. The gun battle between terrorist continued upto 2-3 hours and six terrorists involved in the attack and 1 Pakistan military commando were killed in the attack. Several Pak commandos including on air base commodore named Muhammad Aasm were injured in the attack. There was some security report and one of the newspaper has reported about the possibility of air base attack by Tehrik-e-Taliban group as there was lack of security implementations in the Air base of Punjab province. Including these recent attacks like Military chief head quarter at Rawalpindi near Karachi was attack by some Pakistani Taliban groups has proved high possibilities of reaching nuclear weapons vested in air bases of Pakistan into the hands of Terror groups.
